Green Ivy Schools is the innovative, community-based venture founded by school development expert and Lower Manhattan mother, Dr. Jennifer Jones. Green Ivy offers modern, community-inspired private schools that address the Lower Manhattan school shortage while providing a rich, engaging alternative to traditional private education.

WE HAVE 2 SCHOOLS:

Battery Park Montessori: Nestled among trees and tucked away on the riverfront in South Battery Park City. Certified educators guide students as they explore Montessori materials in an inspiring environment where light, nature and water are ever-present themes. The program enrolls children 2 through 6 years. Our trilingual language program complements a young child’s natural predisposition to new sounds and rhythms. As Maria Montessori’s observations and current brain research has shown, children’s sensitive period to language is from 0 to 6 years old. At Battery Park Montessori, we expose our children to both Mandarin and Spanish throughout the day.

Pine Street School: A Spanish and Mandarin immersion preschool and elementary school, with Middle School launching officially in Fall 2020 with 6thGrade, growing through 8thGrade year by year. We are Lower Manhattan's only International Baccalaureate (IB) school offering the Primary Years Programme. Our curriculum is inherently STEAM-based, promoting hands-on experiences that fuel innovative thinking and cultivate a culture of teamwork and collaboration in support of global citizenship. Our space is modern and innovative, with creative architectural features that evoke nature and inspire learning.
